Paeonia general information

Enjoy a rich, well-drained soil in good light, they resent root disturbance and are best moved and planted into a permanent site whilst young. Not a plant for the impatient gardener, most species take 5 to 7 years from seed before flowering; however they are long lived plants.

Paeonia anomala ssp veitchii

A clump forming herbaceous perennial with deep green, divided leaves, paler undersides. Drooping, single, saucer shaped flowers produced in late Spring or early Summer, may be white, pale or deep pink with lemon-yellow stamens. Very hardy & long lived.
